Director of Food
*Full-time (in-season), part-time (off-season) hourly position
*$15-$18/hr based on experience and availability
*Flexible schedule required, including most Saturdays (all Sundays off)
*Minimum of 5 years professional food production experience
*Requires a minimum commitment of three years

Welcome, foodie!  This is your dream job.  Northern Michigan's most unique farm market is on the lookout for a passionate and driven individual to embrace the challenge of filling a new position within our company.  This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to manage and direct all operations in our Scratch Bakery, Cafe (breakfast & lunch), and Specialty Food Production (all jarred products).  We believe the potential for growth and even greater success in all of these areas is possible with the right person on our team!

Expectations & Essential Qualifications:
*5 years min hands-on supervisory experience in fast-paced food service/production focused on the guest experience with a solid record of success.
*Passion and talent for crafting great food that is locally sourced, scratch prepared, and heart-warming.
*Knowledge of specialty foods, retail marketing, team leadership and good finance.
*Experience with leading staff, product ordering and event food planning/production.
*Provides servant leadership that inspires teamwork, generates energy, enthusiasm, and drives results.
*Successfully maintains excellent relations with guests, vendors, and team members.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Has experience in training and development of staff members.
*Is self-directed and able to work independently, as well as be an integral member of the Friske management team.
*Natural ability and unwavering commitment to ensure the ultimate guest experience.
