Come enjoy a family friendly event that is full of history and hands on learning experiences. At the John Griffin Memorial Classic Car Show you will be able to stroll along side history as participants display their vintage cars. New this year will be a "Classic Kids" event where participants can enter their vintage pedal cars, tricycles & bikes! Visitors will vote for their favorites and prizes will be awarded to the Best of Show in each category. To celebrate Interlochen's100th year as a park we will be providing cake at 1 p.m. while supplies last. Classic Car and Classic Kids Registration will start as early 9 a.m. with prizes awarded at 1:30 p.m. This event is hosted in memory of Park Officer John Griffin who's passion for classic cars started the event in 2011. We honor past, present and future generations of DNR Employees by inviting children young and old to "Touch the Trucks" and explore some of the equipment the DNR uses around the state to complete projects. Come talk to DNR staff from a variety of divisions, ask them questions and learn about what its like to work for the DNR. For more information please call Interlochen State Park
