The Friends of the Charlevoix Public Library are now accepting donations of gently used adult and children's books, CDs and DVDs for the annual summer book sale, to be held on June 27 and 28 at the library, 220 W. Clinton Street in downtown Charlevoix. Organizers ask donors not to leave textbooks, Reader's Digest Condensed books, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, or any materials stored in damp places, as mold raises health concerns. Donations may be left in the cart at the Mason Street entrance foyer. Proceeds from the annual book sale are used to fund new books, materials and programs for the library's children's department.
