BLOOMING ART WORKSHOP with floral designer Cristi Ellen Zarvas & artist Wendy McWhorter. Join local artist Wendy McWhorter and floral designer CristiEllen Zarvas, owner of Fresh Cut Design, for an exciting evening bridging two creative disciplines. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be invited to design a seasonally-inspired floral centerpiece and then use your arrangement as a subject for your very own watercolor painting. In this introductory workshop, Cristi will present basic design principles and tools used in modern floral design while exploring concepts of color theory, sustainability, as well as floral care. Drawing inspiration from the arrangements, Wendy will then guide workshop participants in watercolor painting a floral montage based on the arrangement. This workshop includes all materials and tools. No prior painting or floral experience required. Each participant will leave with a floral arrangement, a painting, and the knowledge to replicate your creations at home!
