APPLE ORCHARDS
Fall is in the air and northern Michigan orchards are busy harvesting bushels of fresh, ripe apples in preparation for the 38th Annual Apple Festival. Apples are Michigan’s largest and most valuable fruit crop and our area apple trees are full to overflowing. More than 30 types of apples will be available as well as other fall harvest items and baked goods.
FALL FARMERS MARKET
Apple Fest is a great time to shop fresh and local. Visit the market for pumpkins, mums, squash, jam, maple syrup, pies, bagels, mustard, crepes, cider, honey, meats, eggs, soups, granola, a variety of baked goods, and more - All locally grown and produced.
FOOD BOOTHS
Local non-profit organizations will be onsite to tempt you with hot food items such as chili, hot dogs, apple flappens, soup, Irish apple cake, hot cocoa and kielbasa.
EXPANDED ART & CRAFT SHOW
Don't miss the Apple Fest Art & Craft Show taking place all three days. Artist booths will be located in both Bridge Park and East Park this year. There will be over 165 exhibitor booths bursting with unique, one of a kind creations. The show offers the work of artists and craftsmen from around the country and is the perfect venue to pick up something special for yourself or to kick off the holiday shopping season. Be sure to check out both locations!
APPLE FEST SHIRTS
On Saturday and Sunday, stop by the Charlevoix High School Booth located next to the clock tower in East Park to pick up your commemorative Apple Fest shirt. Proceeds from shirt sales benefit the Charlevoix High School Art Department. Shirts will also be available for purchase on Friday from 9am to 5pm at the Chamber office on Mason Street.
CASTLE TRAINS
Head down to the performance pavilion in East Park to check out the interactive toy trains that will be running all three days. Children can actually ride on the trains and play at the miniature train tables. The train area is provided by Castle Farms, www.castlefarms.com.

KIDS' ACTIVITIES
Our fall harvest celebration includes fun for the entire family!
Pet and feed a variety of adorable farm animals including goats, sheep, a miniature donkey and more. And don't miss Gunther the camel. He will eat carrots all day long.

APPLE FEST FAMILY FUN RUN 1 Mile & 5K

SWING DANCE CONCERT
Put on your dancing shoes, because there will be dancing in the street. On Saturday afternoon, The Pine River Jazz Band will perform a free swing dance concert from 3 to 5pm on the East end of Mason Street. There is no seating available, so be sure to bring a lawn chair.
BUMPER CROP SALE
On Saturday the 15th, the Charlevoix Circle of Arts will hold a Bumper Crop Sale from 9am to 6pm. The parking lot of the Circle will be transformed into a mini art fair where artists will be selling their "bumper crop" of paintings. There will also be a pumpkin carving/painting contest from 10am to 2pm on the lawn. Pumpkins and carving/painting supplies will be available. Details at www.charlevoixcircle.com.
