The 2024 State of the Community will be
November 1st, 11am at Castle Farms.
Join fellow business and community leaders to hear about important updates and initiatives happening in and around Charlevoix that impact businesses and residents. The State of the Community event highlights three areas of focus: Commerce, Community, and Quality of Life:
 
COMMERCE
Featuring a showcase of solutions from across the region in housing and childcare, two of the barriers in Charlevoix’s workforce and business sustainability.
Speakers include:
Zach Sompels, Charlevoix County Housing Ready Coordinator for Housing North
Jennifer Wixom, Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator for North Central Michigan College

COMMUNITY
Featuring a presentation about our area ALICE population (asset limited, income constrained, employed), how to support them as an employer and fellow resident, and who is doing the important work of providing the various services in our area for those in need.

Featuring a panel conversation about the safe use and protection of arguably our areas greatest assets – Lake Charlevoix and our waterways.

BMC Nicholas Long, Officer in Charge at United States Coast Guard Station Charlevoix
Heather Huffstutler, Executive Director of Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council
